Rollon Automation
South Africa
Founded in 1975, Rollon is a global provider of solutions for linear motion applications. Rollon designs produce and market a complete range of linear motion which reaches every customer, composed of linear guides, telescopic guides, linear actuators and systems for automation. Rollon solutions find applications in various industrial sectors, like industrial machines, robotics, packaging, logistics or railway. Rollon solutions are created using standard products which can be customized to meet the specific needs of each application, making them unique for each customer.
Rollon Products
Linear Rails
Linear and curved guides with ball and roller bearings, with hardened raceways, high load capacities, self-alignment and capable of working in dirty environments.
Telescopic Slides
Linear and curved guides with ball and roller bearings, with hardened raceways, high load capacities, and low bending, resistant to shocks and vibrations. For partial, total or extended extraction up to 200% of the length of the guide.
Actuators
Linear actuators with different guide configurations and drives. Available with belt, ball screw or rack and pinion drives for different precision and speed requirements. Guides with bearings or ball recirculating systems for different load capacities and critical environments.
Actuator Systems
Integrated actuators for industrial automation, they find applications in numerous industrial sectors: from machinery servo systems to high precision assembly systems, packaging lines and high speed production lines. It has evolved from Actuator Line series in order to meet the most demanding needs of our customers.

Solutions by Industries
Industrial Machine Automation
Efficiency is a key concept for industrial machinery used in the production process: workstations, cutting machines, painting machines and wood or marble processing machines need to be able to operate correctly over a long period of time – often with high cycles, under critical conditions and when handling liquids, dust and chips from the process as well as pollutants and corrosive substances.
Packaging and Logistics Automation
In the packaging and logistics sectors, efficiency is measured in terms of productivity, reliability, performance and safety. The ability of an asset to support high-volume operations and reduced production time means immediate savings. The reliability of selected components also ensures the reduction of maintenance costs and increased plant productivity.
Railway Automation
In the railway industry, transport efficiency and passenger safety are paramount. Each part of a train car (railway, underground or tram) must be designed to deliver the highest level of reliability, taking into account impacting factors, such as: harsh environments, corrosive agents, on-going vibrations, and every day wear and tear.
Building and Furniture Automation
Rollon offers simpler motion components for the furnishing industry. Rollon linear and telescopic rails are the ideal solution to ensure the highest degree of project freedom for interior designers and architects; such as furnishings for retail stores, luxury brand boutiques, yachts, hotels, museums and theatres.
Medical Automation
Within an industry inherently associated with healthcare, the technology used must deliver high performance and aim to ensure a positive experience for users, patients and healthcare professionals. Mechanical parts can make the difference.
Special Vehicle Automation
Applications in utility vehicles would not be possible without linear technology: it enables the adjustment of seats in excavators and road rollers, facilitates the handling of stretchers in ambulances, or gives firefighters fast access to their equipment.
Aerospace Automation
Linear guide rails are an important component within aircraft interiors. Following are some of the places where they are used; seat adjustments, sliding privacy dividers between passengers, kitchen slide-outs, sliding lavatory, etc.
